Matty Roodt was born in 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa. In 2001, she graduated from Michaelis School of Fine Art, Cape Town, with a bachelor’s degree. Roodt had her first solo exhibition, LOOP, at Smith Studio Cape Town in November 2015.
